I’ve had some bad luck with tires this year. I just replaced the fronts about two months ago. Then I had a rear tire get two holes in it about 3 weeks ago . On top of that, the wheel it was on was cracked. After doing some searching and realizing that refurbed style 197 wheels are not cheap, I decided to try something different .

I’ve never bought aftermarket wheels before and never owned a car that had black ones, so I took the plunge and bought a set of wheels along with two new tires to go on the rear. This whole set of wheels plus two tires (which were also on sale were the same kind as what’s on the front) ended up costing less than $100 more than one style 197 replacement and one new tire. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised with how they turned out for them to just be a simple 5 spoke. I didn’t change the size (already had 18's on it), but I did go with the same width all around because, at the end of the day, I don’t own an M3 and don’t see the need for staggered wheels. Some may not agree with that, but oh well. Next thing will be doing some repainting on the rusty brake calipers and such to make it look a little nicer and possibly swapping out the center caps from some new BMW ones.

The center caps are off putting, at least for me. Get some roundels in there ASAP and it’ll look much better. Wheels do look good though.

Thanks! I was waiting on this actually haha. It would be different if they were darker, but I can’t really deal with that much of a shade difference.

They just look off. Usually not a fan of 5 spokes, but those work very nicely.

Nice and easy to clean, great choice. Makes me miss my 5 spokes whenever I have to clean my 219m’s lol.
